Jack’s in a rut. Depression and severe anti-social behavior has whittled down his existence to sleeping and watching television. He spends his days in a diner, playing church bingo and sleeping. When some hired thugs show up Jack’s life is stirred up and the question of his existence comes to light.

Jack (Henry Rollins) has developed a routine for his life that he sticks to in order to avoid giving into the impulse to engage in caibalism. He stays away from society other than regular trips to a local diner, bingo games, and to the hospital, where he purchases blood from a hospital inte, Jeremy (Booboo Stewart). After retuing from one trip, Jack is confronted by mobsters Steve and Short, who are looking for Jeremy.

Jack’s routine is further interrupted by a phone call from his ex-girlfriend, Gillian, who asks him to find their daughter, Andrea (Jordan Todosey), who tried to contact him earlier that day. Unhappy, Jack agrees to locate Andrea, but stresses that he wants no further contact with Gillian. He finds Andrea and takes her with him to his favorite diner, where she meets Cara (Kate Greenhouse), a waitress with a crush on Jack. While Jack slowly bonds with Andrea he begins to see visions of an old man with a goatee, wearing a Trilby hat, and also manages to foil Steve and Short’s attempt to kidnap Jeremy. He’s surprised when he discovers that Andrea can also see the man, as previously only Jack could see him.

Out for vengeance, Short and Steve try to murder Jack, only for Jack to kill Short by tearing out his throat with his bare hands and eating it. Afraid that he’ll do the same to Andrea, Jack forces her to leave the apartment. Shortly afterwards Jack kills and eats an obnoxious neighbor. Later, he goes out and tries to pick fights with various people, who tu out to be nice. Eventually, he comes across three young men spoiling for a fight, culminating in him killing one or more of them. Jack ultimately receives a phone call from the mobsters, who inform him that they have killed Gillian and kidnapped Andrea and will kill her if he does not surrender. Jack tries to confront Alex (Steven Ogg), a local crime boss, and the man he believes is responsible, only for Alex to deny that he had anything to do with the kidnapping.

Upset, Jack goes to Cara’s diner, where he bribes her into helping him save Andrea by offering her a million dollars. She helps him interrogate Steve, during which time she discovers that Jack is actually the Biblical figure Cain, forever doomed to wander the earth as a flesh eating monster for killing his brother Abel. Jack ultimately discovers the reason why the mobsters were after Jeremy: he had borrowed a large sum of money without repaying it. He also leas of Andrea’s whereabouts and goes to rescue her. Alex reveals that he kidnapped Andrea as revenge for Jack killing Alex’s father, a mobster Jack once worked for. Just as Jack is about to murder Alex, the man with the goatee arrives, prompting Jack to angrily confront him over his punishment for murdering Abel. Jack ends up choosing to spare Alex, promising him that one day Alex will see the goatee’d man, just before he leaves with Cara and Andrea. After they have left, the goatee’d man appears to Alex.

We know Neerja Bhanot’s story, but are curious nevertheless to see how it unfolds on the silver screen.

Will the director go in for over-dramatic scenes in the name of ‘creative liberty’? Or, are we going to witness a film that is too ‘filmy’ to be inspired by ‘real events’?

Perhaps the brickbats a recent film faced prompted the filmmakers to flash a disclaimer at the start: The film is not a biography or a documentary on the brave Pan Am air hostess. For a second, it almost seems like a waing.

But minutes into the film, all doubts are swept away. The movie is likely to be memorable for most, especially for Sonam Kapoor fans.

Director Ram Madhvani’s long overdue retu (where did he go missing all these years, after his terrific debut ‘Let’s Talk’?) to the screen is invested with the urgency and the sense of impending doom which tells us just how those terror-filled hours must have been like for Neerja, who was on that hopping Pan Am flight, New Delhi-Karachi-Frankfurt-New York, celebrating her first time as chief purser.

The film slides swiftly into its stride, taking us back and forth between the early moing of the 5th of September, with Neerja (Sonam Kapoor) getting ready for the flight, with her parents up and gently fussing around her, and a terrorist cell in Karachi, packing guns and grenades and gearing up for the hijacking of the Pan Am jet from Karachi airport.

The film is set on September 5, 1986, when the ill-fated Pan Am Flight 73 takes off from then-Bombay. Neerja Bhanot (Sonam Kapoor), flying as chief purser for the first time, is readying for her moing flight while four terrorists affiliated to Palestine’s Abu Nidal Organisation are offering their last prayer in Lyari, Karachi. (Lyari is still one of the most dreaded places in the South Asia region.)

The terrorists manage to board the flight with their ammunition, but the full extent of their plan is reduced when Neerja alerts the pilots, who run away. The real trouble then becomes the boarding zone where 360 passengers are left at the mercy of some trigger happy cynics.

The film takes place in an alteate world Egypt, where the world is flat and the gods live among mortal humans. The Egyptian pantheon is distinguished from humans by their greater height, golden blood, and ability to transform into usually metallic, animal-like, humanoid deity forms.

After a reign of peace, king Osiris tus over the throne to his son Horus, with the peasant couple Bek and Zaya among the crowd at the coronation. However, during the coronation Osiris is killed by his jealous brother Set, who seizes the throne and declares a new regime where the dead will have to pay with riches to pass into the afterlife. Horus duels Set in deity form but is overpowered, and during the chaos, Bek is separated from Zaya. Set would have killed Horus, but Horus’ lover Hathor begs for his life, so Set settles for tearing out Horus’ eyes, which are the source of his power, and banishing him to the desert.

A year passes, during which Set marries Hathor and commissions a grand obelisk tower to be built in honor of his father Ra. Bek has found Zaya among the slaves building the monument, under the ownership of the chief architect Urshu. Believing that Horus is the only one who can defeat Set, she steals scrolls from Urshu’s library which give the floorplans to Set’s treasure vault. Maneuvering through one of them, Bek steals one of Horus’ eyes from the vault, but retus to find Urshu has found out about their theft. Bek and Zaya escape, but she is mortally wounded in the process and dies shortly thereafter.

Bek arrives at Horus’ prison, where he makes a bargain with the blinded god: one of his eyes and Bek’s knowledge of how to get into Set’s tower in exchange for Horus bringing Zaya back from the dead. Horus agrees, though not telling Bek that he caot resurrect the dead. Their time is limited, as in a few days Zaya will complete her jouey through the underworld but at the end will have no riches to pay passage to the afterlife. With only a single eye, Horus can not assume deity form. Meanwhile, Set discovers that a thief has stolen the eye from his vault, then later that Horus is no longer in prison.

Horus and Bek travel to a mountain shrine to Ra for the sun god to temporarily grants Horus his powers so that he and Bek may speak to him. The two come aboard his divine vessel above the Earth, but Horus is unable to convince Ra to regrant him his own power, as Horus has not proven worthy to be king in Ra’s eyes. Horus is not able to convince Ra to descend to Egypt and fight Set on his behalf, as Ra is both disinterested in their conflict and daily at war with an enormous shadow beast, Apophis, that threatens to devour the world. Nevertheless, Horus obtains divine waters from Ra’s vessel, which if poured in Set’s shrine would nullify the power of the desert and so weaken Set. Horus and Bek retu to the mortal world, fighting off Set’s warriors on the way.

Having already gained Horus’ other eye and Osiris’ heart, he confronts his former wife Nephthys and cuts off her wings for himself. Hathor attempts to divine Horus’ location in secret, but Set discovers her and sees she still loves Horus instead. He attempts to kill her but at the last moment, she removes a protective bracelet given to her by Horus. This bracelet contains 42 jewels representing the 42 demons Horus slew in order to release Hathor from her role as Mistress of the West. In that role, Hathor was obligated to the underworld. As she removes the bracelet, the demons take her back to the underworld but she saves herself by putting the bracelet back on before she reaches the underworld, eventually retuing to the mortal world and reaching Bek and Horus. Hathor saves them from Set’s assassins Astarte and Anat, and reveals to them that Set’s shrine is protected by a riddling sphinx. The group heads to the library of Thoth for help, certain that he will be wise enough to answer the sphinx’s riddle. Thoth initially refuses, thinking it unwise to oppose Set, but he is eventually persuaded and joins their group.

Arriving at Set’s shrine, the gods and human overcome its traps, including the sphinx, to reach the source of Set’s power. But before they can pour the divine water in, Set intercepts them and reveals Horus’ deception to Bek: that he would be unable to bring Zaya back from the dead. Set destroys their flask of divine water, steals Thoth’s brain, and collapses the shrine on them. Horus saves his allies’ lives with his strength, but Bek is furious at him for lying about Zaya, who is just moments away from being judged too poor for the afterlife. Hathor then sacrifices her own safety for Zaya, giving up her protective bracelet to Bek. Hathor is then kidnapped by the underworld’s demons, but the bracelet will let Zaya pay her way to the afterlife.

Set is dismayed to hear his destiny was to rule alone above the planet until he dies, when his desire was for Ra to grant him immortality in his mortal kingdom. He then casts Ra off the boat, using his combined deity powers and then taking Ra’s staff for his own, deciding to let Apophis consume both the mortal and immaterial realms, so that Set may create a new world where he is immortal.

Bek retus to the mortal world where Horus apologizes and the two resolve to take down Set, capturing Urshu so that he may guide them through Set’s obelisk. While Set calls down Apophis on Egypt, Horus battles him on the monument’s peak but is heavily outmatched. However, Bek comes to his rescue and takes the other eye off of Set’s armor. He throws it to Horus but falls off the obelisk, and Horus chooses to save Bek instead. This act restores Horus’ power, and he battles Set until Horus brings down the obelisk and kills him. He then finds Ra and retus his staff to him, allowing Ra to once again repel Apophis.

Horus is restored as king and his other eye found and retued, but Bek has been killed. Having saved Ra, though, his grandfather repays Horus by bringing Bek and Zaya back to life. The other gods have their attributes restored, and Horus is crowned king and declares the afterlife will be open to the good doers of the world. Bek is made chief advisor, and he gives Horus back the bracelet, letting Horus rescue Hathor from the underworld.

When Michael brings the safe deposit box to the boss’ wife, Irina (Kate Winslet), she withholds their reward money and gives Michael and his crew another mission, which involves breaking into a govement office and stealing more data on her husband. To convince them to take the job, the mafia kills Russell, traumatizing Gabe.

The group decides to go forward with the job. As they think of ways they can pull it off Marcus and Franco suggest a Triple 9, which involves an officer down call that sends all of the police to the location of the incident, with Marcus nominating his new partner, Chris Allen (Casey Affleck). Marcus tries to befriend Chris as they go out on calls together. During one call, Chris attempts to question a local gang member, Luis Pinto (Luis Da Silva), about a gang-related homicide, only for Luis to attack Chris before being detained for his actions. Chris’ uncle, Jeffrey Allen (Woody Harrelson), is a Sgt. Detective in the police force working on the bank robbery case. Jeffrey gets a lead and discovers that Gabe is one of the people involved in the bank robbery. Gabe, still grieving over his brother, tries to stop the heist from happening by following Chris and Marcus around and telling Chris, but is stopped both by Michael and Jeffrey.

On the day of the heist, Marcus takes Chris to an abandoned housing project to meet an informant with information on their homicide case. As they walk around the building, Marcus slips away and Luis comes in and tries to find Chris. Chris bumps into Gabe who tries to wa him that he is going to die. Luis then charges in and tries to shoots Chris but hits Gabe. As Luis runs away, Chris confronts a critically wounded Gabe. Before Gabe can say anything Marcus comes in, triggering a shootout between the two. Gabe is killed and Marcus is severely wounded. This leads Chris to make the Triple 9 call. Thinking his nephew is the officer down Jeffrey rushes to the scene. Meanwhile, Michael and Franco break into the govement office and steal the information with little police disruption. Luis is shot dead as he attempts to flee from the housing project.

In the aftermath, Marcus survives but is in critical condition. Michael meets with Irina and her henchmen. She gives him the money but does not bring Michael’s son as she had promised to earlier. After being beaten by her henchmen, Michael walks back to his car and triggers a bomb that was wired into his gift killing Irina and her henchmen. As he drives away Michael is pulled over by Franco, who kills him and steals the money. After investigating Luis’ belongings at the morgue, Chris finds a note in Luis’ wallet which contained the location where Marcus took him the day of the shooting. Chris later finds out that Marcus meets Luis the day of, letting him know where to kill Chris. Angered, Chris visits an unconscious Marcus to try and get answers, but is stopped by Franco, who invites Chris back to the station to get his account of the shooting. As the two head to the car, Chris receives a call from Jeffrey, who tells him that Franco has been cleaning house and he might be next. As the two head out to their respective cars, Jeffrey is seen inside Franco’s car and they both shoot each other. Franco is killed and Jeffrey is shot in the chest. As Chris makes a Triple 9 call, Jeffrey calmly pulls a joint and smokes it.

They dig up evidence and locate witnesses, and along the way, they encounter men, women, as well as vengeful spirits that try to stop them from finding out the truth. At the same time, Adhiti has to find out the true identity of her buddy: who’s the Senior? This is a film that will forever change your perception of ghosts.

The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Nick Frost and Sam Claflin reprising their roles, who are joined by Emily Blunt, Rob Brydon and Jessica Chastain. Principal photography began on April 6, 2015. The film was released on April 4, 2016 in the United Kingdom and is scheduled for release in the United States on April 22.

Long before her death, the evil sorceress, Queen Ravea, leas that her younger sister Freya is engaged to the Duke of Blackwood and is pregnant. When Freya gives birth to a daughter, the Magic Mirror was Ravea of dire consequences should the infant be harmed. Sometime later, Freya discovers that the Duke has murdered their child and, in a grief-fueled rage, kills him with her long-suppressed ice powers.

Freya abandons the kingdom and builds herself a solitary ice palace deep in the North, murdering anyone who opposes her while amassing an army of children and molding them into trained warriors whose hearts will be forever hardened. When Eric and Sara, two of her most formidable warriors, fall in love and plan to elope, Freya creates a wall of ice to separate them before forcing Eric to watch as Sara is killed by her fellow Huntsmen. Unbeknownst to Eric, Sara is not actually killed; Freya has conjured a vision of Sara dying in order to permanently harden his heart. Sara, meanwhile, watches a similar vision of Eric ruing away before being taken to the dungeons.

The four set forth to find the mirror but are trapped by female dwarves Bromwyn and Doreena. Eric convinces Bromwyn to let them go, and Bromwyn tells them that the Goblins often hunt for valuable belongings and keep them near the Sanctuary, where no entrants ever retu. She and Bromwyn agree to follow Eric to retrieve the mirror. The group is ambushed by the Goblins but are able to get the mirror for transport to the Sanctuary. On the next day, Freya’s army has stolen the mirror, as she freezes Nion and Doreena and orders Sara to kill Eric. She deliberately shoots the arrow at his neck where he wears a necklace, seemingly killing him; Eric wakes up later and vows to face Freya in her icy kingdom.

The icy kingdom and the frozen people are eventually freed, while Eric and Sara, Bromwyn and Gryff, and Nion and Doreena express their love towards each other. The film ends with the bird spirit of the magic mirror flying above the icy kingdom.

The film was developed from a script titled The Cellar, but under production by Bad Robot, it was tued into a spiritual successor of the 2008 film Cloverfield. The film follows a young woman who is held in an underground bunker with two men who insist that a hostile event has left the surface of the Earth uninhabitable. The film is presented in a third-person narrative, in contrast to its predecessor’s found footage style.

10 Cloverfield Lane was released in the United States on March 11, 2016 in conventional and IMAX theaters.

Soon after leaving her fiancé Michelle is involved in a car accident. She awakens to find herself sharing an underground bunker with Howard and Emmett. Has she been saved from an apocalyptical event as Howard & Emmett tell her or are there other motives for her being held against her will?

Following an argument with her fiancé Ben, Michelle leaves New Orleans and drives through rural Louisiana. Late at night, she tus on the radio only to hear that there were continuous blackouts in major cities. Distracted by a call from Ben, Michelle gets into an accident and is rendered unconscious. She wakes up in a concrete room chained to a wall, and is approached by a man named Howard, who explains that an unknown attack has taken place and that he brought her to his bunker after finding her on the side of the road. Michelle meets Emmett, another survivor who witnessed the attack and fled to Howard’s bunker. During dier, an unconvinced Michelle steals Howard’s keys and tries to escape, but discovers Leslie, a woman suffering from severe skin lesions, begging to get into the bunker. When Leslie dies, Michelle realizes Howard was right and stays.

As time passes, the trio begins adapting to living underground, and Michelle leas of Howard’s daughter Megan. When the air filtration unit breaks down, Howard asks Michelle to climb through the air ducts to reset the system. She discovers a window with the word ‘HELP’ scratched on the inside and a bloody earring that she recognizes from a picture of Megan. She shows the picture to Emmett, who recognizes her as a missing girl from his high school, Brittany. They then discover a polaroid of Brittany wearing the same clothes loaned to Michelle. Realizing that Howard is dangerous, they begin to plan an escape and fashion a biohazard suit, but Howard discovers that they are plaing something. In defense of Michelle, Emmett accepts the blame and claims he was creating a weapon. After accepting an apology from Emmett, Howard summarily executes him with a revolver.

Michelle works to complete the biohazard suit but is again discovered by Howard. She dumps a vat of perchloric acid on him, severely buing him and inadvertently starting an electrical fire. She climbs back through the air ducts, puts on the suit, and escapes outside, where she realizes the air is not toxic after seeing a flock of birds flying. She hears a noise and climbs on top of a car to see a techno-organic extraterrestrial craft in the distance. The underground bunker then explodes from the fire, killing Howard in the process and attracting the craft’s attention. Michelle flees to Howard’s farmhouse, while being pursued by an unknown extraterrestrial creature, where she finds Leslie’s dead body. The craft releases toxic gas, forcing her to take shelter in Howard’s truck, which is then picked up by the craft as it attempts to consume her. However, Michelle assembles a Molotov cocktail and throws it into the craft. The resulting explosion destroys the ship.

Afterwards, Michelle drives away in Leslie’s car. While doing so, she hits the mailbox, causing it to fall off onto the road and revealing the address: 10 Cloverfield Lane. While scaing through the car’s radio, she hears a distress call claiming human victories against alien invasions on the Southe seaboard and instructing survivors to evacuate north of Baton Rouge while asking for anyone with medical or combat experience to proceed to Houston. Stopping the car to listen to the entire message, she notices a traffic sign, with one direction pointing to Baton Rouge and another pointing to Houston. After the message ends, she chooses to travel to Houston. Two even larger alien ships are seen floating aloft as she drives toward city lights in the distance.
